Ralph & Lahni de Amicis, Napa, Sonoma, San Francisco
This is a newer winery opened in a completely transformed stone building that was once an equestrian center. They are very conveniently located on the southern edge of the Silverado Trail just minutes north of downtown Napa.
They have a spacious, beautifully appointed tasting room, including wonderful seating areas for special tastings and a very comfy room just for the wine club. To the side they have a spacious outdoor tasting area complete with bar, although you sit shaded, at tables under fans, for the hot weather. Their high end red blend is named Bucephalus, after the horse of Alexander the Great.
The tasting bar is large, which is good since they get very busy at the end of the day. They have very easy parking. The wines are coming along. They are nearby the Reynolds Family winery, Darioush and Luna.
Navigation tip: Enter by the driveway directly in front of the winery. It is more dramatic. The drive will bring around back to the entrance way. Wines: Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat Canelli, Rose', Merlot, Syrah, Cab Sauvignon. AWG Rating 85
